Give

When Christians talk about money and resources, we talk about stewardship and generosity. This is an area of our lives where we can faithfully proclaim our faith. Giving strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly with the gifts God gives us. It a way that we show we trust in Him and His provision more than of our perceived self-sufficiency. As people of faith, we give faithfully and generously.

When you financially support Northside, you play a vital part in helping us fulfill our desire to see people moving closer to Jesus. We believe that all our programs, groups, services, and outreaches are opportunities that God gives us to impact the lives of the people involved. From Kids to Seniors, any everyone in between, these opportunities happen because people generously support them.  We believe that God is doing some amazing things at Northside, and if you would like to be a part of that through financial support, here are some way you can give:

1. Our Regular Sunday Offering

We take time in our worship service to collect our tithes and offerings. We believe that generosity is an act of worship.  However, we don’t expect guest or visitors to give anything – and we make that explicit because we expect that in our services there will be people who are just exploring faith and may have a – sometimes merited – cynical view of church and money.

In the offering, you can give through cash or cheque.

If you are or want to be a regular supporter of Northside you can request offering envelopes that greatly assists in the counting and recording of the offerings each week.  Please contact Jason Colwell in person or by email at jcolwell@northsidecommunitychurch.ca

2. Pre-Authorized Withdrawal

If you are a regular donor, you can arrange to have your donation automatically withdrawn from your bank account. Forms are available in the sanctuary or here. Simply fill one out, provide a void cheque and give it to Jason Colwell or place it is in mail slot. We also encourage you to review your donations at least annually and use the same form to make desired changes to the withdrawals.

3. Mail In Donations

In the past Northside has received donations through the mail from supporters. If you wish to do this, we thank you for it and like all other donations, you will be receipted at the end of the year.

4. Online Donations

Although we aren’t official partnered with any online giving service, you can make online donations via Canada Helps by going here, and following the steps provided. You can give once or setup a giving account for reoccurring donations. All transactions are secure and confidential.

Note:  Be aware that although you will be receipted for the total donation, to cover it’s costs, Canada Helps charges up to 4.0% per transaction. Therefore you can take that into account when you donate through them, if you wish.

Receipts for Income Tax Purposes

An annual receipt for income tax purposes is provided by Northside Community Church for contributions made during the previous calendar year, except for online donations received through CanadaHelps.org.

Important – each restricted contribution directed toward an approved program or project will be used as restricted with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by the Church Board, the remaining restricted contributions will be used where most needed.

Thank you for your faithful financial support of Northside Community Church as we serve together to live out our mission in our region.
