I have been married to Michelle for over 22 years with 2 children: Katelyn (21), Nathan (18). We currently live in Kitchener, Ontario.
Graduated with a Bachelor’s in Economics and having worked in the business world for several years before being certain that God was leading me into full-time ministry back in the summer of 1993. I pursued a Master’s Degree from Tyndale Seminary and began doing part-time and full-time work with youth, local community organizations and churches since 1994.
I’ve also authored a book: “ABCs of Parenting: 26 Practical Lessons for Building a Healthy & Happy Home.” I’ve been blessed with the privilege of speaking and ministering to a diversity of crowds and sizes at churches, conferences and retreats. One of my most recent joys was driving a Tesla and reaching 100km/hr in approximately 3.5 secs, and flying over the waves of the Atlantic Ocean with my son on Jetskis. I enjoy golfing, laughing with good friends and eating chocolate and sushi.
My goal is to see God’s church, and the people in our community, reach their fullest potential in Christ. I’m a visionary and strategic leader and team player with a passion for preaching and a desire to have fun in this ministry journey. There already is a tremendous sense of excitement, energy and enthusiasm for what God has already been doing at Northside. At this time, we are a small church with BIG DREAMS.
Join us if you are looking for a down-to-earth, caring, imperfect, enthusiastic, generous and fun-loving community with a focused mission: “to see people move closer to Jesus”.

I’ve been married to Elisa since 1992 and have 4 amazing (almost adult) children: Zachary, Jessica-Joy, Katie-Lynn and Anne-Elise.
I started tracking with Northside Community Church the fall of 2012. Being a third generation Christ-follower, I literally grew up attending church. As a child, I prayed to accept Jesus as my personal saviour and have journeyed with Him through many ups and downs since. I have had many opportunities to serve in all aspects of the church and parachurch ministries from singing to cleaning toilets.
As a Graduate of London Baptist Bible College and Heritage College I have been involved with Christian Schools since I graduated in 1995 with my Teacher’s Certificate and Bachelor of Religious Education with a Christian School Education minor. I have taught Grade 3 through 12, specializing in “Hormone Homeroom” (a.k.a. Middle School: Grade 7/8). Currently, I work full-time at Woodland Christian High School in Breslau as the school’s Advancement/Development Director (ironically abbreviated as ADD). My personal mission is to tell worthwhile stories and help other people find their place in those stories.
I enjoy golf, backcountry/canoe camping, playing one of my many guitars, and spending time with friends and family with or without a fire.

My wife Ruth and I were married in 1973. We have 5 children and 8 grandchildren. Along with my son Ben and daughter-in-law Sheri, we own and operate a dairy farm and milk retail business. I was raised in a Christian family and as a child, I put my faith in Jesus Christ. Church has always been a place of community, refuge and encouragement for me along life’s journey. I enjoy using the gifts that God has given me to serve Him and His Church. Working with my family on the farm and family times together is a source of great joy for me.
